I HAVE A GALAXY WASHING MACHINE FROM THE EARLY 90'S. THE MACHINE IS DRAINING THE WATER AS IT FILLS , IS THIS A STUCK VALVE OR SOMETHING?

i took the top off my whirlpool cabrio washer 2007 model wtw400sw2 serial cu2270349 to get colthes out from middle of the too drums when taking the top off on the right front corner there is a green wire screw to the top on the inside and it got broken taken the top off and i don't see where the other end goes. thanks

Possible Cause:
Drain Hose not high enough.

Solution:
Reposition Drain Hose at least 36" above the floor.
