How to fix fuel gauge on corsa 1.4 P reg 1997?

The fuel gauge on my 1.4 corsa does not work at all. Any ideas what the fault could be?

Sounds like the tank sender unit. Remove the wire from the sender unit on the fuel tank ...with the ignition on touch the wire against metal to earth it .... if the gauge needle rises to full the sender unit in the tank needs replacing.
