the drum wont turn and the electric trips?

there are 2 areas to look at
1)the heater element is S/C to earth
2)the main drive motor
each part above has connections separate them one at a time,
1) remove the heater element wires, turn on power, does the power stay in or trip?
2)repeat the test on the motor with the jack plug removed
does the power stay in or trip?
