Problem winding bobbin on Frister & Rossmann 804?

I am not able to wind the bobbin on my Frister & Rossman 804. Disengaging the clutch, it will wind for a few seconds & then it is as if something is slipping & the bobbin just stops & refuses to wind anymore. Any suggestions?

Hello Sue,
It will either be residue on the winder rubber, the winder rubber may be slightly worn down one side, the bobbin itself might be touching the bobbin winder stop, or you may need a small drop of oil down the shaft, remember it is the fastest part of the machine but nobody ever thinks about oiling it, if you can get inside to look at the winder rubber it may help you.
