I have a 1996 3 series BMW. It keeps over heating but when I turn the heating on full blast at max temp it goes back to normal. I have bled the system twice and it still overheats.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Peesian, thank you for your help.
Its not the water pump as I fitted a new one two weeks ago. I have checked the aux fans and they are working ok.
When I put the heater on inside the car, full blast and to hot, the engine temp goes down. When I put the heater to cold the engine temp goes up. Even on tick over.
Puzzled, any more suggestions

wire your radiator fans to come on with ignition and try that to see if keeps it cool normally if fans coming on when hot it would be a sign of the water pump failing
