DeLonghi Magnifica 4400 / Fix the infuser?

On my DeLonghi Magnifica 4400, I removed infuser in order to clean it. Now the bracket on the insider of the machine that holds the infuser is in a "down position" and I cannot replace the infuser. I need to know how to get this bracket back in the proper position in order to fit the infuser back in place. Any ideas?

Turn the machine on
Press and hold both of the single and double espresso cup buttons
After 2 seconds you will hear the infuser moving
It may stop and still be in the wrong place, turn the machine off, back on, and repeat.
It took me 3 times, but the machine reset itself, perofrmed the cleaning cycle and is now working fine.

Thank you I went and bought a new infuser as I could not see the infuser in my coffee machine, and when i got it home it would not go in. I just read you answer and I turned the machine on as you said and the infuser was always in the infuser and now it works. So now I have a new infuser incase that one ever breaks.
Thank you so much

I had a similar issue.
Insert the tray and grindings catcher, close the front door, then plug the cord into the power point.
Turn on the power for the power point, but don't turn on the machine.
The machine will go through a self check, then self reposition the infuser holder/bracket, then turn itself off.
If you then open the front door, you should be able to reinstall the infuser.

Hope this helps,
Brendan
