I am looking to buy that amp off ebay but the seller says it blows fuses. He says it had been a well working amp but now when he turns it on it humms and blows a fuse there are two fuses in suspect but he states it is mainly a single one. he has replaced them i dont know the details of that though.

or just look for swr combos in a search. i am planning to buy so i will appreciate any ideas even if they are a long time from now. is it worth it? can i do it? will i ever stop typeing? thanks...

If the amp is blowing fuses then there is a good chance it has a short. The most common fault is the output transistors. I recomend the person who selling the amp takes it to a qualified amp tech before he does more harm.
