had similar problem, would take in water and pump out water, wouldnt agitate or fast spin, when turned on, would hum turn drum slowly for a few seconds then stop, had to switch off at mains to open door.
My problem turned out to be, two yellow wires from motor connected to drum by plastic sleeves, when pulling slightly in those wires they came loose, I reconnected wires, to plastic sleaves and reconnected to brass connecters and washing machine back into working order.
