Transponder Aerial Query - Citroen Saxo??

Hi,

I've ordered a transponder aerial to hopefully fix the problem I've been having with the immobiliser and the flashing light on my 2003 Saxo vtr.

Could someone tell me what screwdriver I need to undo the casing under the steering wheel to access the part & how easy this job is to do if anyone has done it before ????

Any advice would be great as I don't want to be ripped off by taking it to a main dealer.

Thanks

undo screws from casing called torx screwdriver size 20. then the aerial just fits round barrel just unclip it and unplug wire. slide new one on till clips click. connect wire and refit casing. yes it is common fault.

Sorry !

The problem I've had is the immobileser light on my saxo has been flashing meaning the car won't start until the light goes out. I normally just have to take the key out of the ignition and put it back in and it evenually works. I've heard its a common fault on Citroens so I ordered a transponder aerial which is meant to solve the problem.

I'm not very tecchie but I wasn't sure what tools I'd need to do the job and fit the new part, any ideas ??

I assume I just need to undo the plastic casing under the steering wheel to get to the ignition area and from there is it obvious what I need take off and put back on ?? A step by step guide would be great if you've done it before.

Do I need a special screwdriver to undo the screws and if so do you know what its called ??

Thanks

you dont say what the problem is your having so i cant help much there. torx 20 screws hold casing together. aeriel just clips over ignition barell and wires just disconnect. 10 minute job.
