i have a renault grand scenic 1.9 dci 120bhp 6 speed and it says on the display screen to check the parking brake it also has an orange triangle with a p in it that comes up along with the word service. i have been having problems with the handbrake sticking on one side but if you clean the mechanism up with a wire brush and oil it then it releases and works ok for a while . but have never had this message come up before what do i do?? can't really afford to take it to renault.

Good chance its ur handbrake control unit in trouble(located at back left wheel) if both lights are on, just done one the other day!Not to hard to replace but if u do it needs to be coded to the car(MainDealer job)!
