I need picture of the choke linkage and spring connection on 281707-0412-01 briggs. I have the
rod connected to the choke but the looped end
behind the plate I'm not sure where to connect it.
Also there is a small coil spring that connects behind
the same plate. I beleive it acts as a govenor sort
of control. It works as you put the throttle at full
linkage the rod closes the carb plate as you decrease
the throttle the linkage opens the carb plate. At
the same time the throttle rod shifts positions due
to the spring I refered to being connected to (where).
Briggs web site is of no help. They show the parts
but nowehre do they show connect positions. Even
their so called authorized repair shops can't show me
on the plate where to connect the choke rod #216
dighragm listing and the spring.
