Leaking needle valve?

How can I repair a leaking needle valve, can this be done simply myself or is it better done by a service agent.

Its easy enough once you have removed the carb, remove the four screws holding the metering cover, remove the diaphram and the gasket, there is now just one screw holding the metering lever in, remove the screw, the lever, rod and needle will now come away, be aware there is a fine spring under the lever, do not lose, re fit everthing in reverse order with a new needle, be careful not to damage the spring or alter it in any way, the metering lever hight should be level with the sides of the carb body, or with the floor on bigger carbs, it is quite aceptable to bend the lever to get this, when re fitting the diaphram and gasket remember its gasket first and diaphram next, the gasket also acts as a spacer.
