Peugeot 307, new drivers seat??

I have an 06 Peugeot 307. Today I felt something 'pop' under the drivers seat. The seat slides perfectly so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the runners but the left side of the seat is tilting downwards and the back leaning backwards ever so slightly. I can't really notice it until I press the clutch so more weight is placed on that side of the seat and it seems to 'slope' slightly. Is this a huge job to fix. To be honest I've had my fill of this car... 10 days out of warranty I needed a new clutch and last week I spent £690 after a massive oil leak caused my fan belt to slip off and oil to leak into the cylinder heads (I think that's what they said)! Anyway, any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Is this something I need to get sorted or can I leave it (it's not uncomfortable or anything but I'm concerned about safety aspect).

Thanks

Buy a cheap seat from eBay and swap the runners.
If you're lucky then you can get a matching one and swap the whole thing.

Just had the same on my 307, but on RHS, I found the weld holding the pivot pin for the height adjuster snapped off seat frame.

Had to disconnect battery, remove centre console disconnect airbag control and cables under seat before removing seat.

i have cleaned up weld area ready for welding back on but as there is an airbag in the seat I need to check first with peugeot if electric welding is likely to set airbag off.

welcome to the world of peugeots. nice. cambelt would have slipped due to big oil leak from cylinder head i think. check seat runners with seat on other side. do they look the same? are there any bolts rolling around? might just be bolt from seat runner come out. i would let someone check it (for free you spent enough) as if seat flies back when you push clutch pedal in and you need to brake you wont be able to reach brake pedal. (been there before, thank god for handbrakes). new runners are about £100 ish plus labour. ouch. i dont drive peugeots anymore.
