yes i read through some of your replies. I had the unseen flame episode. It is only through luck that i realised something was wrong. I had changed the cylinder new gas. Went to light the fire, it lit then i noticed orangey /yellow flame which i new meant air. I turned off the gas at the fire, only to find i still had a flame. a hasty turning off of the cylinder and a blast of the powder extinguisher put out the fir on the base of the caravan. Had i not seen this i probably would have lost the caravan. The culprit was the retaining nut for the piezo unit, which had corroded through on the blind side to me. No way of checking apart from getting right under the caravan from the opposite side( I wonder how many people check that) In my opinion these things are a nightmare , and probably responsible for hundreds of caravan fires. Hopefully not with loss of life. A fire soon establishes as mine is just below the wardrobe. Fancy using corrodable fixings in such a vulnerable position. Stainless steel would have been favourite. I now have to find a replacement part. Any clues, are they still in business?
