How can I disconnect my alarm from the electricity supply?
we have a optima xl6 alarm which we want to disconnect from the mains as we keep having power cuts which sets off the alarm(usually in the middle of the night or if we are away!!) Any suggestions on how to disconnect?
Rather than disconnect it, get it sorted. The problem is a low battery that is not taking over in a power cut. If you cannot do this yourself get a proper engineer in to do it. Should cost no more than £90.

It's a new battery you need, bet you've never replaced it.
They don't go on for ever, should be replaced at a MAXIMUM of 5yrs
