FORD C-MAX 2.0 TDCI engine coolant temperature sensor location?

where is the engine coolant temperature sensor located in the engine bay.
The cooling fan keeps 'cutting in' even when engine is cold, there is plenty of coolant in the header.
The engine never seems to be excessively hot.
