Already posted problem....try to set and Zone 8 lights up followed by 8 chimes and won't do anything else unless reset. I have since found it's the Veritas R8 not the 8c. Death offered a solution but the insides didn't correspond to his instruction (because I stated the wrong model probably!) or the manual..thanks anyway D!! Any other ideas?

Thanks....turned out the indicators don't match the manual either...it was the panic button that had been depressed slightly..but it should be no 7 not no 8!

There's a problem with Zone 8. Find out what detector/device is on that zone and make sure it's closed/undisturbed.
Alternatively it could be a damaged wire.

Try omitting Zone 8 and see if it will set. If it does, it proves it's either of the above solutions.
If not...I ain't a clue!!!

I hate the Veritas panels with a passion...nowt but trouble in my opinion!
