hi folks.... please help

i have an old zanusii FL1016. the belt is on and the drum rotates but little or no resistance is there. when on spin cycle the drum hardly spins at all. whats wrong? and how do i fix it?

Of course I could be wrong but your problem sounds like the one I had, and fixed, with my Zanussi.

It's most likely the big capacitor (which assists the motor) and it's cheap (~12GBP inc VAT) and easy to replace.
