Please could you advise the best way to patch a small hole in the sump pan.

got to a motor factors and get a petro patch (used to seal leaking fuel tanks ) and follow instructions to patch ur sump dont forget to drop oil first and make sure oil free and rubbed down with sandpaper first before applying patch
