ready in display not showing time on my Bosch CLASSIXX 1400 express?

just replaced bushes on motor, machine seems to be working fine
but the digital timer is not displaying time - any ideas?

check the ribbon connection to the display (both ends) may have strained it if you turned machine to remove motor to change the brushes.
