Fisher&Paykel bottom dishdrawer won't work?

My Fisher&Paykel dishdrawer 603 series with LCD has a problem. The bottom unit does not make a noise when drawer is opened. It is not locked. I have turned the breaker off for 30 minutes. It will not start. The minutes are lit up so I know that it is getting power.

My mistake, the bottom dishdrawer does not "beep" when the drawer is opened. Neither drawer makes a noise when pressing start.

Sounds like the bottom drawer thinks it is still open. On the side of the main control board there is two light sensors & a prism lense. Light from one sensor is bent through the prism into the other sensor when drawer is closed & lined up correctly. Either the prism is broken, the light sensor is not working or the plastic mounting case is broken putting the light beam out of line. If you don't know where all this is or what I mean get someone in to check it or else you may end up damaging the control board.

The bottom dishdrawer does "beep" when I press start. The light with the minutes display lights up but the minute number does not change and nothing starts. The top dish drawer "beeps" when the dishdrawer is opened and also when I push start. It works perfect.

What do you mean it doesn't make a noise when the drawer is opened? When you press start does it beep at all?
