why is my electric shower shutting off?

Hi, my electric shower keeps shutting off after water flows for 2 or 3 seconds. I have just bought a new push button switch on the advise of a plumber but this is obviously not the problem.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi, just wanted to let anyone else with this problem know that I have fixed my shower. My shower is a Redring Expressions 500s 8.5. I bought a MK2 Phased Shut Down PCB, part no 93550835 which was simple to replace - just clips in. Bought the part from, www.theshowerdoc.com, which is almost 1/3 cheaper than anywhere else. Also really fast delivery. Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for replying. Its a Redring Expressions 500s 8.5 shower. My boyfriend thought it mght be the solenoid valve too but I also saw that it could be the shut down PCB or thermal cut out but I have no idea.

if it's only the water flow stopping then it's the solenoid valve failed.
what shower is it ?
