my 2gb micro sd does only allow 381meg of mp3 file?

Why my 2gb micro sd does only allow 381meg of mp3 file. When I ran property on the card it shows only 381meg used from the 2GB card. But I cannot copy anymore file to the card, it tells me that the card is full. Does anybody know why this is happening
