HOW CAN I FIX MY FORD FOCUS GEARBOX?

I HAVE A FORD FOCUS EST. 1.8 DIESEL TDI MANUAL GEARBOX I CANNOT GET THE GEARBOX TO ENGAGE REVERSE GEAR HOW DO I FIX IT.

Common on these Ford gearboxes, I have come across a few with this fault.

Usually it is the internal selector mechanism damaged or broken, only fix is a reconditioned g/box I am afraid.
