fuel does not seem to get through carb. cleaned out float bowl, fresh fuel in tank. all lines and filter flushed and clear. engine runs as long as you feed gas into venturi area of carb. fuel is entering float bowl freely, and needle and seat working properly. just won't feed through carb! also checked that little solonoid valve on bottom of carb, working fine- - I think it is designed to shut off fuel when key is turned off. - - Any ideas?

Thank you all for your advice. After removing the Walbro carb, and disassembling, guess what I found stuck in the main jet between the float bowl and the well tube? Would you believe an ant stuck head-first into the jet! It proved to be an effective plug, and stopped the flow of gas into the main well tube! Fancy that! A stupid little ant, stopping 15 HP and bringing all progess to a stand still!
The Walbro is a #1205309 and I will still need a kit including a carb mounting gasket, and bowl o' ring seal. Does it also require a gasket between the carb body and the plastic housing that supports the filter? Please answer if you have a kit number.

I'd try rebuilding the carb.
First check to see that the fuel pump is working properly.
With the fuel line disconnected at the carb it should pump fuel when the engine is cranked over. If it isn't the pump needs rebuilding. It it is pumping fuel the carb is most likely gummed up. If you can supply the numbers off the engine it's self I can give you the carb kit part number. I'm guessing it's a CV15S engine. A rebuild kit is usually around $8 for a Kohler vs $100 for a new carb.

Some versions of the Walbro carb clean up nicely, some don't. Do the best you can with a can of jet spray gumout. If this fails . replace the carb.
