Lincoln Electric answered my query yesterday 7.5 excellence fault 62 drain pump which did smoke a little on hotwire test lead - however before I removed pump the machine would not power up at all ( no lights) will replacing the pump fix that or is this another problem - also struggling to find walk-in or on-line parts supplier in Brisbane - you guys are very helpful thanks!

Maybe yes or maybe no. On some models the drain pump is part of the power supply line & a dead pump will turn out the lights on the panel. However, a pump that smokes will quite often blow the main PCB as well. So all you can do is replace the pump & hope for the best but if still no power then a new PCB will be needed.
