John Deere LT155 Hood hinges are broken?

The hinges that allow the hood of my John Deere LT155 to swing up for accessing the engine have broken and the hood now comes completely off the tractor. Can I fix this or does it need to go in the shop?

I'm guessing you've already found this, but I thought an actual answer might help.

1. Remove the broken pieces from the tractor.
2. Loosen the two guide pins (on frame between front tires)
3. Replace fender on the hood (not the tractor yet)
4. Slide hood back and align fender. Set so hood is seated.
5. Tighten guides
6. Carefully raise hood.
7. Insert and tighten hinge bolts.

I'll update this right after my next installation (waiting for parts to arrive).

I had the same problem. I fixed mine while replacing the small front plastic bumper that says John Deere.
The hinging mechanism is on the bumper (about $35.00). Look at your tractor and see if that is not the case also. Hope this helps!
