My tumble dryer still does not heat up and I have replaced the heater with?

My machine is a hotpoint condensor, it failed to heat up so I ordered a new heater and easily replaced the old one but only one coil heats up and turns red, yet there is 4 What could this be?

hi,
high heat uses 4 of the coils and low/half heat uses 2 coils this could be a wiring fault or very poss timer probs..lee..

If the dryer has 2 heat settings, high & low have you tried swtiching between the two. Low setting may only heat 2 elements whereas high would use all 4?
