I have owned my 2003 Smart Roadster for a year now, and I love it. Suddenly last Sunday afternoon, after already having it open in the morning, my roof no longer opens. It makes no noise that would indicate it is attempting to open, it just doesn't work (whether I do it via the button on the dash or on the key). Any ideas?

Have you tried fiddling with the boot divider? If something is pressing on that, it will stop the roof from opening.

Sometimes the microswitch gets stuck, so moving the divider (waggling it!) frees it up.

If it's not that, then it could be the wiring to the microswitch is faulty, or the motor has burnt out, or any number of more expensive causes...
