always goes to e1?

just pluged in after five years off. now it will allow the numbers to come up but goes to e1 when i hit any other key.

It will have lost all programming. Cash registers cannot hold their programming when turned off this long. You will need to start re-programming it. If you need a manual, try c-tech here:
