F & P ED56AU - all lights on panel seem okay, the drum can be easily rotated by hand. When Start is pressed, there are no mechanical sounds, only what I would describe as "an electrical buzz", as if a motor is receiving power but refusing to move. I've tried other suggested fixes regarding the door latch, but to no avail.
Any help is greatly appreciated (cold wet weather coming up).

Capacitor needs replacing. Motor will not start without it. Just sits there & hums. Mounted inside on the cross piece which holds the motor in place. Small, round white with 2 wires.
