cascade carver mk 2 water heater?

hi i have a carver cascade water heater mk2 when switch on via the remote unit the green light comes on, i can hear it sparking then then green light just flashes, if i turn it off and on quickly lots of times then allow it to spark it sounds as though the gas ignites but just the gas build up. i would be extremely great full for any ideas and a wiring diagram so i can check its been connected correctly.

Hi I have a carver cascade 2, has the circular pin plug connector.
I contacted Truma they sent me out an ultra store switch with a red on/off switch and a stat dial and an LED with the flame crossed out.
This LED indicates no flame I'm guessing.
The flat pin connector on the ultra store has 6 pins yet the round connector has 5 wires, yellow, blue, white, red and one being the earth braid.
Can anyone give me advice on wiring please.

Hi, i have just stripped a Carver Cascade from an old caravan, someone has removed certain leads although i have just bought a new round multi pin lead off the internet, can anyone tell me if i require a lead that goes next to it at the tank end! I have power to the control unit as the green light comes on, but no sound from the igniter, i would greatly appeciate any help as i can not find a wiring diagram anywhere.
Many thanks, Dunk

I'm having the same trouble. The problem is the element that detects the flame.

If the heater is old you can (After turning off the gas) take off the cover on the outside of the van and you'll see a plate with two screws. Remove these and you'll see the burner and two rods above it. The one on the right is the spark, the other the flame detector. Your burner may well be corroded and needs a good hover out. (That fixed mine for two years). If that doesn't work, have someone flick the switch and watch the burner. (Provided the wind isn't blowing a gale.) You'll then be able to see if you get a spark, if the burner lights and then goes out. (in which case you're in the same boat as me.)
