glad it was some help to you mate. before i worked it out i rang ford who said "its an awkward job and takes about 30 minutes per headlight and they recomend both headlighs are done at the same time, which brings it in at £68.13 for the pair done includeing vat" as you've seen yourself it takes five minutes and it doesent require any skill to do it.

I wish fords had put the info in about the clip at the back. Thanks for the post great info & spot on for my ford focus 2008 tdci near side head light.

If your focus is the 2008 facelift version simply pop the bonnet, directly on the top of the headlight you will see a mounting bracket fixed with a torque screw undo this (large flat driver works well here) now directly behind the headlight and in front off the cross brace look down the back on the far left and far right side of the headlight there is a black plastic clip which needs to be pushed down about half an inch (again long flat driver) the headlight will then slide forward slightly on two small guide rails and thats it. If you go to a very popular video sharing website and search for "ford cmax headlight" you will find a very helpfull video only diffrence is cmax has one clip and focus has two. Good luck
