Ignition on gas hob not working?

The ignition button on my gas hob isn't working & although I've found the user guide, there's no mention of a battery & I can't see where one might be. How can I fix it?

is it a gas hob built in to a work surface as these tend to plug in to the mains with a fuse somewhere
