y reg pug 306 lx diesel
car has developed a pinking/diesel knock sound which only happens at 1250 rpm (laboured). been told it could be advancement valves in pump not working properly and that the ECU needs resetting/remapping. could engine be damaged if not not fixed, otherwise engine sounds and runs great.
