my turbo keeps cutting out at 30000revs in 3rd gear whats causing it (i hope im making sense) its ok when im in 2nd gear but soon as i put in 3rd and i put foot down it cuts off. If i turn ignition off and turn it on again its ok any help guys

your turbo has most likely got a mechanical fault causing it to overboost and its the ecu cutting it out to protect engine it usally stores a fault code its a common fault on vw\ audi you can get re con turbo from global auto parts 275 + vat but please get mechanic to test boost control system for any faults first

you need to scan the engine management for fault codes as it is going in to limp mode for safety
