renault lunga 2005, 1.9 diesel filter problem?

The diesel filter light was coming on and we were losing power when chancing to high gears. We chanced the filter, but its still coming on and losing power.

have you bleed the fuel system when you changed the filter,if so you may have a blockage in fuel system & you may need diagnostic's machine to turn light off
