didnt know this was a handbag scrap, i was mereley pointing out that a little info was required when we offered are FREE advice, and if you dont want it go PAY for it. we dont make the bikes we only fix them when YOU break them, i have the upmost respect for my fellow proffesionals, who have taken their time to become master techs like myself, and was not lookin to offend anyone on here, if you took it that way TOUGH! i am NOT lookin for top position, i have been on here no where near long enough to claim that position, so those that are not grateful can just go fook themselves, one life, live it!

All I can add is that I know adam personally and he is a top bloke who does not have to spend his time and energy answering questions for people who dont really know what to do.He has enough on his plate! I also know that he does what he does on this site because he is a biker and he loves bikes. Trust me when I say he is not a bloke who is big headed. All he asks for is a bit more information and the odd thanks now and again
I am sure this applies to other regular posters, they dont have to spend time and energy doing what they do. The forum is made by these people. Whats the problem in saying tell me what make it is!

i dont mind anyone going for top position :),all i care about is that i know my job. been on here since it began .check the first replies !! bb knows the score hey mate.i have been a motorcycle mechanic as a profession since 1992 and before that was already stripping bikes bare and replacing cons rods ect...i have got diplomas from suzuki and piaggio (not that i rate paperwork much)i think real hands on work is the real deal, i am considered by many to be the top bike mechanic in milton keynes where i live and i dont let things beat me and i always find a reason for a problem when im at work unlike other shops that send me their work they cannot sort out. i and many other techies ie bb, steo,ray b and the latest peugeot man m agree that the reason so many of us on here get annoyed is we dont have enough info on the make and model of the bike that has the problem in general,the description of the problems can be very vague and the thanks are usually very short in being given and seeing as its free to say thanks its a shame. just like we answer the questions for free.saying that a few people have made their thanks apparantand its nice to see that as it makes us all feel appreciated in the time we spend answering your questions.

As Chris Tarrant would say, the questions are easy once you know the answers & with the 30 odd years experience in bike mechanics between the two of you's, most of the questions on this forum are a bread & butter piece of piss to you.
