Mower dies while blades are engaged?

I have a craftsman thats about 8 years old. I have never had any problems with it. This year while cutting grass, it dies. I can let it sit for awhile and it will start up but if I engage the blades it will die. I've drained the tank, fuel filter is good, carb is pumping.....AAAAAAGGGGGGGGGG.
Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

Could well be a micro switch or relay issue, isolate the earth cut out wire coming from the ignition coil, this will take away all switches, does it work ok now ? if so start tracing fault through the switches, seat switch first as this is the most likley. Be aware once you have disconnected the the earth cut out wire you will not be able to shut the engine off with the ignition switch.
