Dishwasher?

I have a Hotpoint 7808 Slimline Dishwasher, it is very noisy during any and all of its diffenent cycles. It heats the water up correctly cleans the dishes but sounds like it is going to fall apart. What could be the problem?

The door on my Homark dishwasher wont stay closed!? have checked there are no obstructons..it will do a wash cycle if i stand pushing door shut!!
Any advice on what else to check?!

The noise will probably come from a rotating part - run a test cycle with the spray arms removed - if quiet then an unbalanced spray arm will have been making the noise - if still noisy then the water circulating pump may be the cause.
