fiat punto ?

hi i have a fiat punto overheating and electic fan not coming on.i ave checked wiring and fueses for fan found to be ok even bridged fan to check it works and it dos .i removed the thermostat to find it was seized closed so changed it and re-filled coolant and ran again but with no such luck .any ideas

if the thermostat was faulty maybe more damage has been done.have a look in rad expansion tank and look for bubbles in water,may mean head gasket fault,try a new fan sensor,depends if it just overheats in traffic or on a run.
