I have an 1989 Bonny called the Grocery Getter.
I just replaced the starter and it is located under the front of car behind the bottom portion of radiator. circular with cellinoid attached. Could be a cellinoid issue, sometimes tapping it might get the starter going again if thats the case. There is a 22guage cable abouts, and a red battery feed cable that you must un-install first. Cellinoid is held on by two phillips screws and the two major bolts 15mm I think for the starter, which both are parallel. Thats it! I thnk the auto sales dude sold me the worng one perhaps, because when starting it toushes the fly wheel, I think in tranny. I tried using shims and no shims and it still wants to hit. So word from the wise is make sure you have the correct starter and make sure you understand the shimming for the starter. After you remove take it into Checkers or Napa and they will test her for free.
Good Luck to you
