no Drive?

I have a renault senic 2000cc I can select gear when engine running but no drive any Ideas.

could be clutch plate u/s, could be gearbox it'self or as i have witnessed on several occasions on renault kangoo's, n/s drive gear on diff disengaged due to circlip coming adrift - easy to check if you remove n/s inner driveshaft boot and circlip is adrift.
