why do i get oil in my coolant system? ?

i have a vauxhall astra on a X-plate and tend to find oil in my coolling system, making the water bottle filthy but cann't seem to see water mixing with my oil as that could mean head gasket? what does oil in my water system mean??

its coming from your oil cooler, I've had it for about 2yrs and its still running!

No its a manual gearbox, the oil is actually in the water bottle you fill up leading to the radiator
