How can I open washing machine door?

Tricity Bendix BA450 integrated washing machine - blew fuse during wash cycle - the on/off button will not stay depressed - only half way in/out - neither on nor off - my washing is trapped inside how can I open the door? I have tried pressing button in and holding - but no good door does not open

Sounds like you have a short somewhere, and that is why the button fails to engage when pressed. To get your washing out, simply disconnect the mains cable, waste pipe, and cold feed pipe. Then just walk the machine out and lay the waste pipe into a deep roasting pan ( Not Bucket ). The machine should start to gravity empty itself and you should hear a click. Once you have got enough water out of the machine, then tip it backwards and rest it aginst something so that any remaining water inside lays towards the back of the drum and then attempt to open the door.

the only way to undo the door without damaging door frame/handle is to pull the whole thing out take the lid off and release the door interlock from inside down the front which is a bit tricky as there is very little room.Other thing you can try is turn off at the mains for 3 mins and then firmly and hard hit the door around the lock area with the flat of your hand and hope it shocks the door lock in to releasing.
