mower cutting off?

I have a husqvarna riding mower, it cuts off when going up hill. Smells like it is flooded. I have changed the fuel filter airfilter and cleaned the carborator...any ideas?

Depends what model this is, there were some issues with certain machines that did not have a fuel pump, the fuel tank was quite low in the machine and there was not enough gravity feed from tank to carb, there is a retro fit electric fuel pump available to cure this issue, also, if this is a steep hill it could be due to the operator moving up the seat and not engaging the seat micro switch completely

brother and law said this was the needle valve. he cleaned out carborater bowl and needle valve and now it works
