whats the attachment called that hold the drum to the back of the machine?

the tumble dryer (creda tvr2) won't spin without a little push. I cleaned out all the fluff that had accumilated inside that machine but noticed when it was turning that the clip at the rear that holds the drum to the back of the machine was grinding and making alot of noise. The tumble dryer smells very hot after only a few mins and then slows right down and stops. Does it sound like that bit had worn down and needs replacing? If so what is it called so i can search for it on the spares list. Ps i am a chick so please excuse my simple explainations! :0)

hi kate its called an axle most likely you will also need a starter for it as well if it needs a nudge before it starts 2 turn
