How do you take a Dyson DC23 Apart?

I have a Dyson DC23 Turbinehead canister vac. I need to take the BODY apart but I can't figure out how to get the plastic parts to separate. There are Hex screws, I got those out but the area where the power button is and the cord retraction button is somehow connected to the body without screws that I can see.

Does anyone know how to disassemble a DC23?

Thanks.

You need to prise the wheel off with a fairly large screwdriver (the wheel is just clipped on, no bolts or screws, pops off fairly easily if you are careful)
once the wheel is off, you will find 2 more screws, which hold the cover in place. Undo those and the whole cover comes off

Hi,

I have the same problem, did you find a way to open it without hurt the cord retraction system ?

Thanks,
