self propelled works on left wheel only?

model number 917.377061 self propelled works only on left wheel ; i replaced the spring with out any luck.

Wheel pinion on one wheel not working correctly, there are many different types so its hard to advise, some rely on friction to engage, some just have a pawl, some have three rollers which lock onto the half shaft.
