where is the relay for the brake lights on ford transit vans?

my brake/reversing lights do not work on my 1997(r reg) ford transit. The bulbs and fuses are all ok, last time this happened it was the relay, im not a mechanic so dont know what the relay looks like or where it is.

Not sure if there is a relay for brake lights, but the brake light switch is most likely the problem, it is normally located above the brake pedal. The reverse light problem could be the switch on the side of the gearbox, but check the wiring to it first, the wiring under the van often gets damaged/corroded.
